Barking

Much like lunging, barking is Nature triggering your dogs to do wild animal behaviors. When is your dog not a wild animal? Never.

Nature Triggers Wild, High Energy and Lots of Barking

Nature swings a reflex hammer. When Nature swings Her reflex hammer telling the dog, “You will do this barking,” your dog must comply and does comply.

Barking is another one of those behaviors we don’t want to see. Your dog — at its high energy level — isn’t listening to you. Nature’s in charge. Nature triggers your dog to bark reflexively, without a strong brain connection.

A dog at a high energy level doesn’t care about you; it’s going to bark. Nature doesn’t care about you either. Nature cares about taking care of her dogs. Succeeding happens when you figure out how to get your dog’s energy level to be lower. That’s what I do.

It’s Not About the Dog

Their barking isn’t about the dogs themselves — it’s about you. Sadly, we’ve been listening to a lie and for way too long. It involves your dog, but it’s not about them. That experience show up in every dog interaction I’ve had since 2009.

Learn a different and better way to relate to your dog. Take the time to learn a different, better, and more accurate model for dogs and dog relationships with humans. When you do, you act differently. The moment you start acting differently, you instantly have different conversations with your dog. The barking your dog did to explain everything stops. His energy level go down. Your conversations with your dog changes. They relax. They submit.

When you start having different conversations with your dog, their answers must change. Instantly. Their barking stops. That’s why a dog’s behaviors can and do change instantly but they’re temporary. It’s only with consistent repetition that their new behaviors get solidified.

Eliminate the High Energy and Their Barking Disappears

Until you have a model that explains it, it may not make sense. But training since 2009 I’ve seen it disappear thousands of times. Barking is a problem. Barking is also an indicator of a dog’s energy, excitement, and triggering levels being too high. Get those energy levels lowered. Get your dog to truly relax. Get your dog to be truly submissive. The barking disappears and is never a problem again. The alert will always remain, but the excessive barking after that disappears.

It’s What I Do

Call me and let’s talk. Your dog’s barking it telling you it’s waiting for it. They’ve been ready the whole time.
